Where History Meets Flavour

Press Bar & Grill blends the richness of cultural heritage with modern taste. From authentic Nepalese dishes to classic Australian favourites, every plate tells a story—bringing tradition and flavour together in every bite.

Our Story

A Story Rooted in History, Inspired by Flavour

The name Press pays homage to the building’s legacy as the home of the Manning River Times newspaper, a cornerstone of the Taree community for over a century.

Today, we honour that history by bringing people together through the universal language of good food and good company. Our team is passionate about creating a dining experience that reflects both our Australian roots and our love of Nepalese culinary traditions.

Our vision is simple: to offer a diverse and approachable menu that brings the flavours of Australia and the rich culinary traditions of Nepal to your plate — all served with a side of friendly, local hospitality.

Whether you’re craving fresh seafood, succulent grilled meats, or a bowl of comforting Nepalese Mo:Mo dumplings, we invite you to explore, indulge, and enjoy.

Our Philosophy

At Press, we believe food should be inclusive, vibrant, and memorable. That’s why we proudly offer a menu that caters to diverse dietary needs, with dedicated Gluten-Free and Vegan selections alongside hearty classics and authentic Nepalese dishes.

Our chefs focus on fresh, local ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and beautiful presentation — ensuring every dish tells a story of flavour and quality.
